very nice people, but mix up alot of books and dont maintain silence in the library
This is a hidden gem in Mechanicsville. It's off the beaten path a bit, so it may be a little bit "out of sight, out of mind." Of course, libraries face a tough time in the age of the internet and easy access to info straight from our phones.
That being said, the facility is great, the people are friendly and helpful, and the selection is thorough. They maintain a respectful library tone without being stuffy and uptight. Keep your kids involved with books and libraries and it will pay off in the long run.
Library is clean large space nice staff are friendly . The quiet areas are great for studying.. However internet is outrageously slow and unusable, getting 37kB/s across several tests, a little slower than dialup internet =\
This branch has the fastest WIFI out of all other Pamunkey branches that I have been to...15mbps. Some other branches are slower than dial up...literally...3kbps.
Such friendly staff. Great kids events and kids area.
